Training Seminars for Local Churches

prompt

HOPE 08 provides a wonderful opportunity for churches to be more strategic in the way they impact their local communities but some may feel unsure as to how they can really make a difference. We can help.

We offer seminars presented by Andy Twilley who was in local church ministry as a Baptist Minister for 13 years, and then worked for Scripture Union as their Bible Promotion Manager. As Associate Director for Christian Life and Ministry, he works with Churches throughout the country to help them strategically develop their ministry and mission, through preaching and seminars.

The seminars cover four areas of local church life:
Developing a strategy for mission
If a church is to be as effective as it can be, it needs to discern God’s plan of action for its locality. We can help:
• build a strong Biblical base for mission
• discern a specific vision from God
• create a strategy
Add training and resourcing, and ‘the meeting place becomes the training place for the market place.’
Training Home Group Leaders
Dynamically run home groups make a fundamental difference to the life and vitality of the local church, yet many churches struggle to find willing and gifted people to lead. The answer; training and equipping to develop and expand your team of leaders.
Engaging with The Bible
The Bible transforms people’s lives yet many people don’t understand how it all fits together, whilst others simply do not know how to engage with it. We offer seminars looking at either ‘God’s Big Picture’, or ‘Models for engaging with God’s Word’.
Discovering your gifts
Christians often need help to discern their gifts, and then encouragement to use them appropriately within church life. As people discover their gifts, passion and temperament, new doors will be opened to them to fulfil a valuable and effective role in the church.
